A Very Late Update

i meant to update days ago..but for one reason or another, it just didn't happen. but i just got an extremely sad boy down for his nap, and Caleb is sleeping still, so i have a bit of spare time. we don 't have anything very exciting going on, but Connor has learned a few cute new things! he can jump, climb onto the couches and bed all by himself, walk on his tippy-toes, and turn on the dishwasher. he also carries blankies around everywhere lol. he is very proud of his new skills and practices them every chance he can get! when he's not perfecting his new skills, he's being naughty and pulling hair or biting. we are working on helping him understand that it is not ok to be mean! i don't believe in biting back to teach him it hurts, and i'm not a spanker, so we've been doing a little time out. i really don't think he can understand the point of timeout, but its more to show him if he can't be nice to someone, he doesn't get to play with them. i just put him in his little play pin and he will usually scream, but he calms down with i give him toys. we want to teach Connor to be kind to everyone, and hopefully with time he will learn, or we will discover a better method.

Connor and i have done all sorts of playing lately, and i've managed to grab a few cute pics and videos to share:
Connor LOVES to read books!
Connor knows how to unscrew caps off of bottles, and he will carry them all over the house and just do it over and over and over again.
Connor loves to help mommy do laundry...his favorite part is getting rides in the laundry basket!
He climbs up here, then acts like he can't get down and yells for help til i go over to him, then he proudly climbs down and shows off his skills haha
Connor gets to snack on treats while he watches Mommy cook dinner every day.
This is just a bit of Connor's favorite mess to make.... we clean this up thousands of times a day!
We went swimming at La Casita again!
Connor has decided watching movies with mom is the best! and the best place to watch them is apparently right in front  of the tv!!!! i'm not a fan of that idea so much, sorry little man!

I was sooooo bored while Caleb was gone that i decided to get all dressed up and go to a Relief Society activity.

Caleb came home from AT over a week ago, and Connor has been quite attached to him since then! He missed him soooo much! One day he was gone i took some pictures of him and said "Come smile for daddy!" and he must have thought i meant daddy was doing a video chat on the phone because he came running over all excited like this...

only to find it was the camera, not his daddy... and boy was he sad... it broke my poor little heart  to see him like this...

But everything was better when he finally got home! The day we got him Connor was sooo excited and barely took his eyes off of him. i got some incredibly cute pictures of my boys together! Connor wanted to sit and watch Daddy take his shoes off and was sooo excited. and then Daddy helped Connor take his shoes off because Connor didn't want Mommy to hold him at all, he wanted DADDY!!!! For some reason, i just think its precious to see how excited Connor was to have his daddy home after two weeks!

After Caleb got all showered and unpacked he spent some time hanging out with us :)
connor wanted to help his daddy unpack, and i just love seeing them together!
Connor brought a book over to Caleb and climbed right up on the couch and snuggled up with him... so Caleb read it to him :)
Caleb is back to working, working, working. We are trying to make some big decisions right now about jobs and other important things. we also just got moved from our CTR 10 class to the older nursery, and are looking forward to that new change that begins on Sunday for us. i think it will be a bit easier on me since i won't have to feel like I'm juggling Connor and class, instead Connor will fit in with the class a bit easier and i don't have to worry about him distracting everyone! He sure is a cute kid. Caleb's work hours have been a little different than usual this week so he's had some spare time to spend with us, and Connor is taking full advantage of it! :) We sure love our family time together!
