A Few Cute Pic's I Never Posted From September

As i was looking through my camera the other day i found these mischevious pictures of my little man that i really didn't even remember taking. but they made me laugh, so i just HAD to share them even though they were nearly a month ago. :)
When you leave Connor alone for more than a minute, he gets in all sorts of trouble. Makeup is especially fun for him to get into, since he is well aware it is a no-no! I have told stories of his love of mascara to many people, and now you'll get to see his work, and how majorly proud of himself he is afterwords!  It's a good thing i think he is ridiculously cute!!!

This is a masterpiece... don't you think mom???
This is his "squishy smile" and we love it so very much! :)

Proof that I've Turned Into a Whimp

We have been having some "cooler" weather around here. it has been in the low 90's. i'm sure my Idaho friends are snickering over the fact that i'm saying that's on the chilly side. I was laughing at myself about it too, and was sure i was tough enough to handle on last trip to the pool before i chicken out and say no more, but alas, i've become a warm weathered whimp! im my defense, we went when the entire pool was covered in shade, and there was a bit of a breeze. a dear friend of mine wanted to use the hot tub, so we ventured down to the pool together. her daughter was really the only one unafraid of the water temperature. i would only stick my feet in the pool for a few minutes before declaring them numb, and running over to the hot tub to dangle them in until i couldn't handle it anymore. Connor loved splashing around, and didn't seem to care if it was hot or cold water. But unless the hot tub needs to be used my friend again, i don't think i will be visiting the pool again this year. BRRRR!

Connor loves to sit on the pool chairs and "lounge" like a big boy! he didn't want more to sit with him at all. He is too cute!

I know my head is cut off in the pic, but i had to show how ginormous my belly already is... it's pretty much impossible to hide now. 13 weeks! Eeek!

Connor was cracking me up when he was walking around in the hot tub. I had to make sure he didn't fall off the bench and into the deeper water, and i wouldn't let him sit because i really think hot tubs are too much for kids, but he was so funny putting my sun glasses on. he refused any attempts of help, but loved taking them off and on by himself!

Other Bits of Cuteness

Like i mentioned in the other post, we haven't done many fun things due to Mommy being so sick...but i have tried my best to document the cute litte things he does. So here are some pic's!

We have to take pictures sometimes when Connor thinks he needs to call people on the phone. So him and Mommy take funny pictures and he laughs and laughs!

Connor has been doing so well sitting through his movies at home that we decided to take him to his first movie in theater's! we were so impressed by how well he did! We saw the movie Brave. I think we all liked it! i didn't get any pic's of him at the theater, so you'll just have to deal with one of him patiently watching a movie at home.

Last week Caleb caught him sitting in this bucket playing on an old phone..and it was hilariously cute! Not sure how that would be a comfortable seat!

Connor loves firetrucks. He has a Mighty Machines movie and he pretty much only watches the fire truck part of it haha. The Cub Scouts were going to get a tour a few weeks ago and Connor got to come with Mom, and he thought it was soooo cool!

Our family has been dealing with cold/ allergy sickness, and it has NOT been fun! :( Caleb had to get a wisdom tooth pulled, and was sick at the same time, and it was not fun! And Connor has been working on more teeth! he now has 10! He has a horribly snotty nose, and even had a fever a few days ago and napped on and off all day. he loves to snuggle with his elephant and won't go to sleep without it! We are hoping to all be feeling better soon!

Please please PLEASE ignore the gigantic mess... i have a hard time keeping up with his energy level, and often just surface clean at the end of the day. Obviously this video isn't of the end of the day haha. He loves to dance and turn on music on the keyboard! he sure is smart!

That's all i have to offer for now, but hopefully it will hold everyone over for a little while. i'm hoping to get some energy back in the coming few weeks and get back to more exciting posts! I'm almost 13 weeks now, and excited about the 2nd trimester! Hoping it will bring some relief :) wish us luck!!!

Some Much Needed Fun!

I have not been feeling well at all lately, so we have not been able to have much fun. It is drill weekend, so yesterday I took Connor out to see our friend Marne and her kids, and to our wonderful surprise, they have a park right down the street! Connor hasn't been to the park since before it got hot here...there is no way i want him to burn himself on the toys! it's too hot for that! but yesterday, it was a wonderous 77 degrees outside! oh it was SOOOOO wonderful! so, Connor got to go explore the park and its many fun toys for the first time in quite a while. and boy did he enjoy it!!!!

I was curious to see how he would react to this because the last time i tried to put him on one he freaked out! but he loved it! i had to force him off haha

Next were the swings...he thought they were quite fun! he was laughing and smiling the whole time! well, except for when there were distracting fun kids playing around him!

But i really do think his favorite part was the slides! He got to go down on laps, and if Mommy was there waiting at the bottom he could even go down by himself! He thought he should be big enough to go himself the entire time lol he wasn't too thrilled when Mommy was at the bottom

We stayed at the park for quite a while and enjoyed the cooler weather and the breeze, and made sure he got his fill of sand and sun and good old fun!

I thought he would be thoroughly worn out after the park, but then he was shown the fun toys in the backyard! He decided it was time for much MORE fun! And you even get to see (or i guess not see) me save him from falling in the video. i caught him by his leg... way to go super-mommy!
And the trampoline was a HUGE hit! he didn't stop squealing at all! A helicopter was flying over head so that is why he is staring up in the pictures lol
when he wanted down he would slid backwards on his tummy to the edge haha

If You Love Us, This Is A Must Read! :)

BIG NEWS!

This little family of ours, is getting a +1 !!!!

Say "Hello" to Baby Barthlome #2!

We are THRILLED about our new little one, and ready to share the news! We have shared the news with our immediate family, and closest friends, and want to share it with our many other loved ones.

We found out our exciting news at the beginning of August when I had had a gut feeling i was pregnant, but there was a negative test. So i figured i must have been wrong, and maybe things were just off.

But then two weeks later, i realized i was STILL waiting, so decided to take another test.
i was completely shocked when there was a very very faint positive. I made Caleb look at it to tell me if my eyes were playing tricks, but he saw it too.

Then i decided i was done messing with lines, and just wanted a clear digital answer. There was no denying that "Pregnant". So, we got excited, and i promptly blabbed to my parents about how excited we were!

For some reason, i was terrified things would go wrong, and kept needing to be reassured i really was pregnant. Since there had been such a faint response, i guess i thought maybe it was a false positive. So throughout the next two weeks as we waited for our first Dr appointment, i took three more tests. and since they were getting progressively darker, i quit worrying.

According to LMP, we should have been 8 weeks at our first appointment, but we weren't. The U/S showed no heart beat, and just an empty gestational sac. The Doc said we would have to be only 4 or 5 weeks along.  It was either a miscarriage waiting to happen, or we were just alot earlier than we thought. She explained that i also had subchorionic hematoma, and it was a bit worrisome, but "whatever will be, will be" so we shouldn't give up hope, but made sure i knew what signs of miscarriage were. i was heartbroken and we walked away very unsure what the next week would bring us. Caleb was pretty confidant we were just early and reminded me of how long it took to get a positive, and how faint the first one was. but i was terrified, and trying to prepare myself for the worst.  I just wanted to be left alone and get through the week, and even took a break from Facebook.

Baby #2, 6 wks/3 ds
We went in for a second U/S on Aug 30th, and we were so relieved to see a little heartbeat flickering on the screen! Our original due date was April 5, 2013, but doc said baby was measuring a few weeks behind, and it would probably be more like April 22nd. The heart rate was measuring at 102 bpm, and she said it was still looking small, but everything looked good! The subchorionic hematoma had even improved to the point the Doc wasn't concerned anymore! We were so thrilled, but wanted to wait til a bit closer to the second trimester, just in case. We had enough of a scare already, and didn't want to have to handle even the chance of a public heartbreak.

Baby #2, 10 wks/3 ds
Yesterday we went in for another appointment, and baby was measuring right on schedule for the April 22nd due date! The Doc said heartbeat looked beautiful at about 150 bpm. We are so happy everything is going well! i was very concerned we would go in and find heartbreaking news waiting for us. but we both feel so confidant in having seen the heartbeat twice, that we decided we felt comfortable sharing our news!

We are expecting our little bundle of joy April 22nd, 2013!  It will push back our plans to move back to Idaho until June-ish, but we feel it is worth it :). And we can't wait!!!!

Yes, I've Been A Slacker

My mom made sure i knew she checked the blog, and there weren't any updates, and she wouldn't mind seeing some new stuff. so, i'm trying to get that done before i run off to pack meeting tonight. You might be thinking, "Pack Meeting???? What is she talking about?" well, i have a new calling in the ward. I am in the Cub Scouts, over the Bears. I of course know nothing about this, but i'm willing to learn! GO ME!

Connor just looked too cute on Sunday in his church clothes...i couldn't resist taking pictures! he barely payed any attention to me during nursery, and it is pretty obvious he is almost ready for his own nursery time! he loves sitting with the big kids! but it will be nice when he can play with kids his own age, that don't knock him over quite so easily!

And these are just some cute pictures of him... we bought him some new footie pajamas with jungle animals on them, and he loves running around the house growling! We have discovered that taking pictures on mommy's phone is a great way to distract this wild child of ours...we had to take Daddy to the dentist this week because his wisdom tooth needs to come out, and Connor thought he needed to try to get into EVERYTHING! i was at my wits end trying to keep him distracted! He sure is an energetic kid... but a very, very cute one!!!

Connor loves this keyboard...he can turn it on and off himself, and yesterday, he went and got sheet music and tried to put it on the stand and "played" it. it was soooo cute! guess he really is a little music lover!

Our boy is a chatter box.. lately he talks on anything that he can hold up to his ear. if you can't tell, its a thermometer. funny kid! his other favorite "phones" include gameboys, ipods, and the tv remote. we sure love all his funny little habits!!!

Connor's Newest Cousin

On Monday the 10th, Connor got a new cousin! My mom txt me in the morning to let me know that Melinda's water had broken, and she was at the hospital! it was a bit of an exciting surprise to hear, since we knew she wasn't due for another 20 days, but we were thrilled to hear! She had been so miserable the last few weeks of Eli's pregnancy, that it seems like a nice thing for her to get to skip over the last couple weeks this time lol.

I don't know all the specifics, but i can tell you my new little nephew's name is Kayden Terrence Hill, and he was 6 lbs, 7 ozs. and 20 inches long. My mom said he arrived shortly before 3 pm. I showed Connor the picture of his new cousin and he pointed and said "Baby!"  We can't wait until we will get to meet the little guy! we are so happy for Melinda, Mitchell, and Eli! Congrats to your little family!!!
